Exercise and Sports Performance
As a physiotherapist & C.H.E.K. Exercise Coach, Sissy is able to seamlessly progress her clients from a rehabilitative exercise phase to high level strength and conditioning for elite performance. She has extensive experience working with amateur, developing and elite athletes, as well as the everyday office worker. Using a combination of physiotherapy and the C.H.E.K. functional approach to exercise, she has successfully helped many clients return to sport, work and life with greatly improved health and better control of their bodies.
Sissy has worked in the area of Early Intervention for children with disabilities and takes a multi-disciplinary approach to helping your child become the best they can be. Working with your child’s other allied professionals and medical team, she offers home visits, hydrotherapy and school visits. Sissy is a registered Better Start provider and CAEATI/MASS prescriber. She is able to help with wheelchair and equipment prescriptions and funding applications.
People and Athletes with a Disability
Sissy has extensive experience in working with people and athletes with a disability, in particular those with spinal cord injuries, and is able to tailor design individualised training programs suited to each client’s disability, function and goals. She has worked with Australian and state level wheelchair rugby & basketball teams, travelling to Japan and interstate as team physiotherapist. She has been an active volunteer with Sporting Wheelies & Disabled Association since 2010 and is the current team manager and physio for the Queensland Wheelchair Rugby Cyclones team.
Integrative holistic health
Combining her training as a C.H.E.K. Holistic Life Coach, physiotherapist and soon-to-be accredited nutritionist, Sissy works with children and adults across the lifespan to provide a whole-life approach to the treatment of physical pain and dysfunction.
